WELAC-LACEA RIDGE Workshop
WELAC hosts a yearly workshop on “Gender and Household Economics” at the RIDGE Forum
The Workshop is designed to bring together scholars, researchers, and experts from different fields of economics to discuss household and gender-related issues.
The Workshop encourages the submission of papers household economics and those that study gender implications, broadly defined, from all fields in economics. Last year’s workshops featured papers on marriage and labor market sorting, parental leaves and gender norms, learning in the household, teen abortion access, sexual harassment in India, and gender gaps in earnings, time use, entrepreneurship, and safety. Both micro and macro approaches are welcome, using data from any country, as are a variety of empirical and theoretical approaches.
The papers are selected by scientific committees comprised of outstanding researchers from all over the world.
